Congrats to the team!
On the 7th of June 2024, a group of four individuals working with M&E Global on the APS2 contract in Mannheim took on the awe-inspiring challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Armed with determination and a shared commitment to K9s for Warriors, all funds raised through the endeavour to benefit K9s For Warriors.
Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs being rescues, this innovative program allows the K9s For Warriors team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.
M&E are extremely proud of our four personnel who each took on this initiative and chose to take on such a demanding challenge to stand up for veterans and their loyal service dogs; helping to bring healing, hope and a renewed sense or purpose to those who have served.
Congratulations to Daniel Adams, Julia Harris, Karolina Wojciechowska and Abbie McCreesh! This is what Daniel Adams said upon his return:
"No description will ever be enough to accurately describe the feeling of reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m), the world's tallest free-standing mountain, after 6 days of relentless hiking. This is by far the most physically and mentally challenging thing we have ever done and to say we pushed our bodies and minds to their limits would be an understatement. We could not have asked for a better group of people to climb with.
An extra thanks to M&E Global for sponsoring the costs of the climb and their generous donation to K9s For Warriors."
