M&E Global is a defence contractor undertaking services on complex military equipment and aircraft for UK and US contractors. We have a fantastic opportunity for a GCSS- Clerk to join our team.

Please note, for this position you must be living and registered in Germany for the last 12 months minimum and have an excellent understanding of GCSS Army procedures. 

The Role
Based in Hohenfels, Germany you’ll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a US Military base.

This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as a GCSS- Clerk, working in an exciting environment.

Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Receive, store, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise and tools
  • Compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard/area
  • Research applicable parts manuals for correct National Stock Numbers (NSN), verify NSN’s using FEDLOG in accordance with US Army Supply Policies
  • Validates requisitions prior to processing the request through the US Army Supply System (GCSS-ARMY)
  • Maintains and updates Hand Receipts of Issued Equipment
  • Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice
  • Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications
  • Stores articles in storage bins, on the floor, or on shelves according to identifying information, such as style, size, or type of material. Fills orders or issues supplies from stock. 
  • Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock reports. 
  • Compiles records on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory count and stock records, spoilage of or damaged stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments. 
  • Distributes stock among production workers and keeping records of material issued. 
  • May adjust or repairs to items carried in stock. 
  • May determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space. 
  • May cut stock to size to fill orders as required. 
  • Maintain a daily timesheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate. 
  • May be required to operate manual handling equipment, Pallet wagon or Forklift. 
  •  Coordinates with the Army G4 representative for All TDA equipment into GCSS-Army. 
  • Maintains and updates US Army Standard Operating Systems (SOP) procedures. 
  • May be required to pick up and deliver parts from other US Army storage facilities.
